Our Environmental Reclamation Process
Step 1 — Backfilling & Stabilization
Reclamation begins by pushing down the highwall using heavy machinery, filling voids left by the removal of coal and rock, re-establishing the surface grade, and stabilizing all slopes. This critical first step sets the foundation for everything that follows.

Step 2 — Grading & Soil Preparation
Once the site is stabilized, we grade the area with a nutrient-rich growing medium. This ensures the soil has the structure and composition needed to support healthy, lasting vegetation — not just grass that survives, but ground that thrives.
Step 3 — Seeding & Mulching
Using specialized equipment, we seed the area and apply mulch to lock in moisture, prevent erosion, and create the right conditions for plant establishment. This step transforms a raw grade into a living landscape.

Step 4 — A Restored Site, Ready to Enjoy
When the work is done, what was once a mined site becomes productive, stable land again. The result of careful planning, experienced crews, and a genuine commitment to leaving every place better than we found it.
